​Walk Teams

​Team up for Down Syndrome
2025 Team Captain Packet information coming soon.​

​Teams are a great way to show your spirit at the Designer Genes Walk for Down syndrome. Many of our families and community members put a theme together to show their group’s support for an individuals with Down syndrome.

Examples of some of our teams at past walks include:
Ryker’s Rockers
Lochlan’s Peeps
Cristian’s Crusaders
Raisin’ Awareness
The Purple Queens
Gracie’s Groupies

Teams create groups with everything from ribbons to t-shirts, costumes to balloons. Simply use your imagination and remember to inform those coming to walk with you how your team will be dressing, meeting, etc. These are important details to make sure your group gets together.

​Walk Star Poster

​Individuals with Down syndrome are celebrated by posters around the walk route. The poster shares pictures and interesting facts about them. Team captains can have these posters designed and made by submitting a Walk Star Poster Form and a photo using the below link. 

HOW TO GET A WALK STAR POSTER
Walk Star Posters line the Walk for Down Syndrome path on the day of the walk.
Please note, by creating a Walk Team, you DO NOT automatically get a Walk Star Poster. If you want to get a Walk Star poster, please follow these TWO steps by September 7, 2025.

​Each year we provide an event photographer for the Walk.  The Walk photo gallery will be shared for Walk Star Teams on Designer Genes' Facebook group and then on the website.
