Designer Genes strives to provide support, information, education and advocacy to families and persons with Down syndrome, as well as those supporting them, their friends and professionals.
We are based in the Bismarck-Mandan area, but continue to reach statewide in our efforts. It is our hope that through continued awareness efforts we can help all to recognize the potential of people of all abilities, especially those with Down syndrome.

Dec. 16, 2009 - Including Samuel Screening Celebrating Nat'l Inclusive Schools Week
Grand Theaters, Bismarck - 10 a.m.
"Including Samuel" is Dan Habib's new documentary which examines the educational and social inclusion of youth with disabilities. The film is built on the efforts of Habib and his family include Samuel, 9, in all facets of their lives. Including Samuel also feature four other families with varied inclusion experiences, plus interview with teachers, parents and disability rights experts.

Designer Genes doesn't ask individual walkers at the Buddy Walk to gather contributions for Down syndrome awareness. We rely on generous community sponsors and individuals who simply choose to donate. If you'd like to contribute to Designer Genes' efforts please take a moment and do so.
